Rossi Expands R95 Lever-Action Line; Two New Models

Earlier this year, Rossi USA brought out the R95 lever-action rifle in .30-30 Win. The company timed it pretty good since it was shortly before deer season. It also brought it out in one of the most popular deer cartridges ever. Well, Rossi has already expanded the line by introducing a couple of models in response to the varying needs of shooters.

Both models come with a peep hole sight mounted on a Picatinny rail, drift-adjustable front sight and five-round tubular magazine. Both also come with a medium loop lever wrapped in paracord for a very interesting look. However, the cord also helps protect the hand when levering the action along with providing a bit of a very useful survival item.

The Laminate model combines looks with functionality, featuring built-in sling mounts, a soft-touch recoil pad and a 20-inch barrel. This is in addition, of course, to the laminate stock for which the gun is named. This stock helps resist elements in the real world and looks good while doing it. It would make an excellent option to start a generational gun.

The Triple Black, on the other hand, looks kind of like the Terminator had a love child with Rip Wheeler. It’s more functional than beautiful, but it looks pretty good.

The Triple Black features a 16.5-inch barrel, integrated sling mounts and a black cerokote finish on both the wood stock and steel barrel. This tactical lever-action rifle even comes with a threaded barrel for attaching suppressors or muzzle brakes.

With the popularity of modern sporting rifles some might think the lever-action is obsolete. The Rossi R95, however, shows this to be a fallacy. The lever-action was, after all, the gun one could load on Sunday and shoot all week long.
