2025 New Shotguns with brands like TriStar Arms, Spandau, Stoeger and Others

New and affordable inertia-driven semi-automatic shotguns are the trend this year with brands like TriStar Arms, Spandau, Stoeger and others with options under $500. Low-decibel shotshells from Remington are also better on our ears.

Benelli Super Black Eagle 3 A.I.

The Super Black Eagle 3 A.I. (MSRP: $2,599 to $3199, depending on model finish and gauge) shotguns now have an improved A.I. (Advance Impact) barrel technology designed to generate more velocity, more energy, and more downrange penetration from shells. The new barrels offer up to 50 percent more penetration on target and improved pellet density. The A.I. barrel is also available on ETHOS Upland A.I. (MSRP: $3,099), Performance Shop Ethos Cordoba A.I. BE.S.T. (MSRP: $3,649), Performance Shop Ethos Cordoba A.I. BE.S.T. (MSRP: $3,399), and Performance Shop Ethos Supersport A.I. (MSRP: $2,849 to $3,399, depending on model finish and gauge). The rugged Nova pump (MRSP: $529-$749 depending on finish) has been upgraded to a third generation with a new Poly-Mod platform that integrates the receiver and buttstock into one piece, which offers a 14 percent shorter cycling stroke than the original Nova. Finish options include black, Realtree, or Mossy Oak camo.

Beretta 1301 Mod 2 Chisel Stock

The Beretta 1301 Mod. 2 Chisel Stock (MSRP: $1,899) has a few tweaks including a more robust designed stock closure and a fore-end made by Aridus Industries that is a machined aluminum hand guard with aggressive texturing. Available in 12 gauge only.

Browning Citori 825

The latest addition to the Citori family is the 825 (MSRP: Starting at $3,950) with a low-profile engraved receiver compared to the Citori 725. The Citori 825 is available in 10 different versions, with sporting clays, trap, and field models. All use Browning’s Invector-DS choke system, Fire Lite 2 Mechanical Trigger, sport a Grade II/III walnut stock, and are available in 12 gauge only with 26- and 28-inch barrels.

CD Defense TGWS (Twelve Gauge Weapon System)

Hunting, target shooting, and home defense is all now in one compact package with the new CD-Defense TGWS (Twelve Gauge Weapon System) package (MSRP: $899.99). The TGWS allows the user to switch from a long barrel 12 gauge semi-automatic to a short barrel pistol grip 12-gauge firearm in less than 30 seconds. The TGWS is a gas-operated, semi-automatic shotgun designed to look and function similarly to the AR15 rifle. The complete kit includes: a heavy-duty hard case with wheels, complete 18” upper, complete 14” upper, sling, open sights, choke tubes, one 5-round magazine, one 2-round magazine, one 10-round magazine, and one 20-round drum magazine. Plus safety glasses and ear protection are included.

Dickinson Arms Shotguns

Designed for turkey hunting are two 12-gauge Dickinson Arms shotguns: the semi-automatic inertia action 212 Turkey Series (MSRP: $455.99, model 212C24-OS) and pump-action Commando (MSRP: $341.99, model XX3T-C-2). Both feature a contoured, pistol-grip stock, 24 inch barrel with ventilated rib, hi-vis fiber optic front, rear sights, an extended extra-full choke and a Picatinny rail. The Commando also has a short rail on the bottom of the forestock to mount additional accessories. Both shotguns are finished in Mossy Oak Obsession camouflage and have a 3″ chamber.

Federal Premium Ammo

Federal is introducing over 30 new shot shell options in 2025 including two all-new lines: Master Class and Upland Paper. New SKUs will be added to the Black Cloud, Heavyweight TSS, HEVI-Bismuth, Hi-Bird Fiber Wad, Gold Medal Paper, and Ultra Steel lineups. 

• The all-new Master Class ammo is a competition-level sporting clay load comprised of six 2-3/4-inch 12-gauge offerings, 7.5 and 8 shot, with a customized Podium wad that extracts peak performance from Federal’s straight-wall hull. 
• All new Upland Paper will feature six 2-3/4-inch 12- and 20-gauge offerings, with 4, 5, and 6 shot. These shells offer a nostalgic look, feel, and even smell of classic upland shotshells without losing the benefits of modern performance with the new Federal Premium Upland Paper. 
• New to Black Cloud FS Steel will be two 2-3/4-inch 16-gauge offerings, in 2 and 4 shot and equipped with the FLITECONTROL FLEX wad to deliver improved patterns through both ported and standard waterfowl chokes. 
• Heavyweight TSS will now be offered in two 28-gauge offerings, 2-3/4-inch and 3-inch, 9 shot. 
• New to HEVI-Bismuth are seven 2-3/4-inch 16-gauge and 3-inch 28-gauge offerings, 3, 4, and 5 shot. Launched by the FLITECONTROL FLEX wad for pattern consistently in both modern and classic shotguns.
• Hi-Bird Fiber Wad will now be offered in two 2-3/4-inch 12-gauge offerings, 4 and 6 shot. Reduce your impact on high-volume shoots. Hi-Bird Fiber Wad’s cellulose-based over-powder wad construction helps minimize plastic left in the field. It’s perfect for the field or preserve hunting situations. 
• Gold Medal Paper will be offered in two 2-3/4-inch 20-gauge offerings, 7.5 and 8 shot. 
• New to Ultra Steel are four 3-1/2-inch 10- and 12-gauge offerings, BBB/1, BB/2, and 2/4 shot. 
• Federal Premium Ultra Steel features the rear-opening FLITECONTROL FLEX wad and a zinc-plated steel payload.

Global Defense NK-1

The new NK-1 (MSRP: $388) is a 12-gauge semi-automatic, bullpup-style shotgun, with a 24-inch barrel. Features include an adjustable cheek riser, flip-up sights and a 5-round magazine.

Hawke Optics

The Vantage IR 1-4×20 Turkey Dot riflescope (MSRP: $279) is now available in a Mossy Oak Greenleaf camo finish. The scope features a 2 MOA illuminated center dot aimpoint surrounded by an illuminated horseshoe measuring 10 inches at 25 yards when on 4X magnification.

Mossberg Shotguns

• Mossberg has added a 590M Standoff pump action (MSRP: $1,050) to its line of 590 magazine-fed firearms. This 12-gauge, 2.75-inch pump action features a 14.25-inch heavy-walled, standoff barrel and is fed from double-stack magazine. Features Mossberg’s Aftershock bird’s head grip, Parkerized finish, oversized and redesigned top-mounted safety, compact forend with M-LOK-compatible slots, and drilled and tapped receiver. Comes with one 10-round detachable, double-stack magazine.

• Also new to the 590 line is 590R (MSRP: $1,085) and 590RM (MSRP: $1,190) 12-gauge shotguns with Rotary Safety Selector and AR-style ergonomics. Features include a redesigned user-serviceable forend, integrated barrel/heat shield, and ambidextrous, rotary safety selector. Four models are available, including two standard offerings and two mag-fed versions.

• Professional Series guns undergo an enhanced assembly and quality control process, have special finishes and features, and are optimized for performance. New versions in the Professional Series are the 590M Magazine-Fed pump actions (MSRP: $913) with the option of black or orange synthetic furniture and Magpul SGA model (MSRP: $1,074). All models feature a Cerakote protective finish on barrel, receiver, and magazine tube, and 18.5-inch heavy-walled, cylinder bore barrel. Other features include a metal rear-optimized ghost ring and front fiber optic sights equipped with protective low-profile wings, and an optic-ready receiver.

• Three new Slugster models (MSRP: $518) in 12- and 20-gauge and 410 bore have been added to the Model 500 line of field and sporting 500 pump-action shotguns. All three 500 Slugster models have adjustable rifle sights; 3-inch chambers with 5+1 total capacity; drilled and tapped receiver; classic black synthetic stock and forend; matte blue metal finish; and sling swivel studs. The 12 and 20-gauge versions have 24-inch fully rifled barrels with a 1:36 twist rate and the 410 features a 20-inch cylinder bore barrel.

• The 940 line of semi-automatic shotguns now includes three new models: The 940 Pro Tactical SPX shotgun (MSRP: $1,190-$1,371, depending on options), the 940 Pro Tactical Professional Series (MSRP: $1,376; 85170), and the 940 Pro Tactical Thunder Ranch (MSRP: $1,190; 85181). All models feature an 18.5-inch barrel. The 940 Pro Tactical SPX features a forend design with integrated heat shield, two QD cups, three M-LOK mounting slots, rear ghost ring and front fiber optic sights with protective, low-profile wings, and the receiver is optic-ready for the direct mounting of micro dot sights. Enhanced options include oversized ambidextrous safety, one-piece magazine tube, and Vang Comp 6-Shotshell Carrier Card with Velcro mounting plate. Available in Flat Dark Earth and OD Green Cerakote coatings. Designed in conjunction with Thunder Ranch Director, Clint Smith, the 940 Pro Tactical Thunder Ranch has a Cerakote Patriot Brown finish on the stock, forend, receiver, and barrel. It has an optic-ready receiver, red fiber optic front sight, and Thunder Ranch logo on the receiver. The 940 Pro Tactical Professional Series is 8-shot autoloader with a Cerakote Tungsten finish.

Remington Shotgun Shells

• New Low-Decibel .410 Bore shotshell ammo (MSRP: $27.99) offers reduced recoil and noise, without compromising on performance. In addition to its reduced recoil, the Remington Low Decibel shotshell also boasts an accurate wad, delivering consistent patterns at 25 yards for continuous performance on target. 
• Duck Club Steel (MSRP: $22.99-$30.99 depending on gauge and load) is a high-velocity steel load designed to be effective and affordable. Available in 12 and 20 gauge and shot sizes from #2 to BB. Expect maximum impact on all game birds with Royal Flush (MSRP: $34.99-$38.99 depending on gauge and load) available in 12-, 16- and 20-gauge in in either 4, 5, or 6 shot.

Retay ACE

The Masai Mara inertia gun autoloader has been revamped as the ACE (MSRP: $1,049). The ACE is available in two unique receiver designs: a standard “slope back” receiver and a slightly “hump back” version we call ACE-R. Despite their distinct appearances, both styles share the same features and internal components. The only difference lies in their visual design. The ACE is powered by Retay’s patented Straight Line Intertial Transfer System™, the Inertia Plus Bolt Rollover Torsion Spring Action™, and the Dead Straight Deep-Bore Drilled Barrel™, which ensures optimal performance. It offers on-target, no float aiming, and Retay’s out-of-the-box Optimization Factory-Lengthened Forcing Cone™. Available in 12, 20, and 28 gauge and 26- or 28-inch barrel lengths.

Spandau S2

Spandau S2 inertia-driven semi-auto 12-gauge shotguns are now available in Mossy Oak Bottomland (MSRP: $499.99) and Obsession (MSRP: $499.99) full camo finishes. Both models feature an enlarged loading gate for easier loading with gloves, synthetic stocks, compatible with Benelli choke tubes, and a fiber optic front sight. The Mossy Oak Bottomland is available with either a 24- or 28-inch vent rib barrel; the Mossy Oak Obsession is equipped with a 24-inch vent rib barrel.

Stoeger M3000 Tactical

Stoeger expands the popular M3000 lineup with the addition of the all-new M3000 Tactical (MSRP: $449). Tactical uses the M3000 inertia-driven system to cycle any 2-3/4- and 3-inch 12-gauge shotshell. Features include a Tungsten Cerakote receiver finish, 18.5-inch barrel with a breacher-style choke, pedestal front sight and ghost ring rear sight, Picatinny rail or the factory optic cut with adaptor plates, tactical-style stock with cheek riser and M-LOK and QD mounting points, large bolt handle, an oversized bolt release, and a large safety button. Plus, the loading port is beveled to promote fast reloading.

Tokarev USA TTF 12

The new semi-automatic 12-gauge TTF 12 T300A1 (MSRP: $219.99) and T300MA1 (MSRP: $239.99) shotguns feature a dual piston, self-regulating gas system, a 4+1 magazine capacity with an included plus one magazine extension, and accepts Benelli Mobil Chokes. They come equipped with a Picatinny rail sight mount and a green fiber optic front sight, and black synthetic buttstock and forend. The TTF 12 T300MA1 has a nickle anodized finish and the TTF 12 T300A1 has a black anodized aluminum finish. At 38 inches in overall length and with an 18.5-inch barrel these shotguns weigh just 6.1 pounds. The TX3 12 A1 (MSRP: $209.99) and MA1 (MSRP: $219.99) shotguns are being reintroduced with black polymer furniture and a 5+1 capacity. The 18.5-inch barrel accepts Benelli Mobil Chokes and features a new and improved Picatinny rail sight mount, and a green fiber optic front sight. Available in either a nickle anodized or black anodized aluminum finish.

TriStar Arms Raptor II

The new Raptor II (MSRP: $489.00-$579.00 depending on stock and finish) semi-automatic shotguns have a totally redesigned stock and forearm that is sleek and comfortable to shoot. Other upgrades include an oversized operating handle and bolt release, larger safety button, softer recoil pad, and a fiber optic sight. Offered in 12- and 20-gauge with available barrels lengths of 24, 26, or 28 inches that use Beretta Mobil choke tubes. Synthetic or wood stock with matte black finish or full Camo finish.

Weatherby Element II

The Element II (MSRP: $669-$799 depending on stock) has been update with an enlarged reloading port and oversized charging handle, safety, and bolt release. Available in 12- and 20-gauge, and synthetic or wood stock. Finishes included black or tungsten Cerakote and camo.

Winchester SXP

Two new SXP pump-action shotguns include the SXP High Grade Trap (MSRP: $629.99) and the SXP Marine Extreme Defender (MSRP: $569.99). The SXP High Grade Trap features a high grade Turkish walnut stock with a raised comb, sharp checkering, and handsome satin finish, and gloss black finish barrel and receiver. Barrel is back-bored. The SXPMarine Extreme Defender is equipped with a corrosion-resistant hard-chrome plated barrel and magazine tube, composite pistol grip stock and ribbed forearm, and Picatinny optics base with ghost ring rear sight and blade front sight. The SX4 Defender – FDE (MSRP: $1,219.99) is now available in a synthetic stock in Flat Dark Earth and the barrel and aluminum receiver have an FDE Cerakote finish. Available in 12 gauge with a 18.5-inch barrel.
