The double-stack 1911 platform has a slew of new guns in all price ranges from Tisas and Springfield Armory to Staccato and Kimber. These hammer-fired 9mm pistols are all the rage. For those who favor striker-fire pistols, a number of affordable GLOCK clones in 9mm are available from Ruger and TriStar Arms to name a couple. Close emitter red dots are also becoming more popular and affordable, so check out the new sights from Meprolight and Primary Arms Optics.
Built for modern-day concealed carry, the 80X Cheetah Tactical Urban is chambered in .380 ACP and uses a Vertec-style grip profile. Features include an X-treme S trigger, skeletonized hammer, easier-to-rack slide, and suppressor-ready, threaded 4.4-inch barrel. The new 2K11 series of hammer-fired, double-stack pistols includes two models, a standard 2K11 (OR) and 2K11 Target (OR) target configuration. Features include an external extractor, a Type III hard-anodized aluminum grip module, accessory rail, 5-inch barrel, custom 2K11 front and rear serrations, and GT Trigger.
Both models come with three magazines and one C&H optic mounting plate. The standard 2K11 (OR) model has a matte DLC-coated frame and brush polish flats slide. The 2K11 Target (OR) model comes with a ported slide, adjustable rear target sight and Stan Chen Customs competition mag well. It also comes with a matte-black finish frame and brush polish Coyote PVD coated slide. Both are available in 9mm and come with 17- and 20-round magazines or .45 ACP with two 13-round magazines.
The 2K11 Target (OI) target configuration is similar to the 2K11 Target (OR) except it comes from the factory with a Trijicon SRO red dot installed and is only available in 9mm.
The “MAGA Magnum” Desert Eagle .50 AE pistol honors the election of Donald Trump as the 47th President of the United States. This special edition pistol is offered in a limited run of only 100 handguns.

The latest from Military Armament Corporation (MAC) is the MAC Duty 9 Double Stack. This 9mm, 1911-style pistol comes with a new slide-cut design. The Duty 9 Double Stack features a factory RMR pattern optic cut on the slide and a universal light rail on the frame.
The Duty 9 is a full-size pistol equipped with a 5-inch bull barrel with an 11-degree target crown. The polymer grip module has a subtle yet firm grip texture. It comes with two, 17-round Checkmate magazines, flat face trigger, fiber-optic front sight and black serrated rear sight. It also comes with an optics plate system to mount a red dot with a black Cerakote finish. The MAC 9 DSD Series pistols come standard with two magazines, cleaning kit, cable lock, an extra mainspring retainer pin and premium lockable hard case.
Also new is the MAC 9 Double Stack Comp 9mm handgun. It comes with a new slide cut and 4.25-inch bull barrel design featuring a built-in compensator. Features include a skeletonized hammer, skeletonized trigger with overtravel adjustment, Tenifer QPQ finish, serrated front sight, extended slide stop,and RMR pattern optic cut on the slide. It comes with two 17-round magazines.
The Nighthawk Custom Double Agent is a double-stack 1911 developed in collaboration with Agency Arms. It was created as a concealed carry-friendly commander-sized gun. This pistol comes chambered in 9mm with a 16-round capacity.
The Double Agent’s slide is knurled and deburred to provide optimal traction during slide manipulations. The texture on the aluminum grip matches the look and feel of the knurling on the slide without being so rough that it’s abrasive on bare skin or catches on clothing. Sights include a Straight Eight Heinie Ledge rear sight and Tritium front sight. The Nighthawk/Agency Custom Trigger is set to 3.5 to 3.75 pounds. All components are hand-fitted. It comes with two 16-round magazines.
The new single stack Sand Hawk is Nighthawk’s softest shooting 1911 ever. It’s available in 9mm, .45 ACP and 10mm. The Sand Hawk is built on a slim, steel frame that is 5 ounces heavier than the aluminum-gripped double stack Sand Hawk. Features include a square trigger guard, dimpled front and rear backstraps, and a full-length recon rail that sits flush with an integrated compensator.
Ruger and Magpul combined efforts to produce a 9mm striker-fire pistol for concealed carry. The RXM features a serialized stainless-steel Fire Control Insert (FCI), which is removable, set inside an interchangeable Magpul Enhanced Handgun Grip (EHG). This allows maximum flexibility and customization.
The FCI features a flat-faced trigger, smooth trigger pull and tactile reset. The Magpul EHG features Magpul’s TSP texture for a secure grip without abrasion to your hand or snagging on clothing. Plus, it has textured indexing pads for consistent finger and thumb placement, an undercut trigger guard and high beavertail for a high grip for better control.
The slide is cut for mounting of RMR, Delta Point Pro (DPP) and RMSc pattern optics. Co-witness steel sights feature a tritium front sight, providing an excellent sight picture, with or without an optic installed. The grip frame comes in a stealth gray finish, while the slide wears a black nitride finish. The RXM comes with two Magpul PMAG 15 GL9 15-round magazines and a co-branded plastic carry case. A 10-round magazine-compliant model is also available. All RXM pistols are compatible with GLOCK Gen3 aftermarket parts, holsters and accessories.
SilencerCo makes an S98 handgun suppressor out of titanium in an eccentric design specifically for 9mm handguns. The eccentric design keeps the sights unobstructed. The overall length is 5.5 inches and it weighs only 7 ounces. This makes the S98 the shortest and lightest suppressor in its polygonal design class. It’s also fully welded, which almost eliminates that first-round pop.
Phoenix Trinity Manufacturing and SK Guns teamed up to create the SideKick, a commander-size, double-stack 2011 pistol. Features include a 4.25-inch barrel with an internal V-Port to reduced recoil and muzzle rise. The front sight is made of a green tritium and LumiGreen outline front ring. The grip module is Phoenix Trinity’s most popular full-size Pro Evo grip.
This grip is offered in a limited run of 10 color case anodized and 20 black anodized with blue physical vapor deposition (PVD) accents. All come with a black, diamond-like carbon (DLC) slide and frame finish for extra durability. It features aggressive forward slide serrations along the top of the slide that mimic a grenade pattern. The trigger shoe mirrors the same horizontal cuts and it also has an aggressive checkered trigger face. The mainspring housing grip safety comes pinned for those who demand reliability without compromise.
The Smith and Wesson M&P Metal lineup now includes compact-framed pistols in the Compact 3.6 and a Compact 4 AOS. Both striker-fire pistols come chambered in 9mm and are equipped with an optic-ready C.O.R.E. system. They also come with a flat-face trigger, white-dot open sights, four interchangeable grip inserts, Tungsten Gray Cerakote finish and 15-round magazine. Both feature an 18-degree grip angle. Both pistols feature barrel lengths related to their designation and are available with or without a manual thumb safety.
Davidson’s partnered with S&W to launch the newest addition to the S&W Carry Comp Series. The Performance Center M&P 9 M2.0 Full-Size Carry Comp is the first full-size polymer pistol to take advantage of the Carry Comp Power Port, which diverts gases upwards to reduce felt recoil. This means shooters can stay on target better. This 9mm semi-automatic pistol comes optic-ready with features like a flat-face trigger and tuned action, 18-degree grip angle, blacked-out rear sight, serrated front sight, stainless-steel slide with gray Armornite finish and four interchangeable grip inserts. It ships with three 17- and two 23-round magazines.
The M&P Spec Series V is comes with three 23-round magazines, a Spec Series knife and a commemorative challenge coin. Built for enhanced performance, the Spec Series V pistol is chambered in 9mm and features a 4.8-inch barrel, Strike Industries compensator, night sights, a steel frame with enhanced texturing, steel mag well and steel optic cover plate. It comes in a gray/Blue FVD finish.

The 1911 DS Prodigy has been downsized to a 3.5-inch Compact AOS and a 4.25-inch Compact AOS. These pistols were designed for concealed carry and built around a 15-round, double-stack magazine. Features include a compact polymer grip module mounted to a lightweight billet aluminum frame, a shortened beavertail and recontoured hammer to reduce the footprint of both compacts. Additional features are an AOS cut slide for optics, accessory rail, ambidextrous thumb safety, and U-notch rear and tritium front sights. It comes in a black Cerakote finish.
Designed for concealed carry, the Echelon 4.0C comes equipped with a shorter 4-inch barrel and compact frame. However, it retains key features of the full-size model. The slide uses the Variable Interface System to provide direct-mount compatibility with popular red-dot sights. Tritium U-dot irons deliver fast target acquisition. The serialized Central Operating Group is housed in a compact frame, offering a 15-round capacity with the flush magazine and 18 rounds with the extended magazine. Finish options include Black, OD Green and Desert FDE.
The Staccato HD P4 and HD P4.5 1911-style double stack pistols represent a complete ergonomics overhaul. This includes a new optics mounting system and improved recoil for better durability and shootability. The HD P4 features a 4-inch bull barrel, while the HD P4.5 uses a 4.5-inch barrel. Both pistols are chambered in 9mm and are compatible with GLOCK-style magazines. Features include co-witness sights, a tritium front sight, HOST direct mount optic system, TAC Textured Grips, fully ambidextrous controls and steel frame.
The STR-9 Thinline is a crossover pistol designed for everyday carry. The STR-9 Thinline gets its name from its slender, 1-inch-wide slide and frame. This is the same dimension as Stoeger’s STR-9MC micro-compact 9mm, but the STR-9 Thinline has an extended grip length. This striker-fired 9mm has a 14- and 16-round capacity and ships with three magazines. Features include front and rear tritium sights and an optic cut that is compatible with the RMSc Shield footprint.
The new multi-fuel TLR-8 line of laser-equipped tactical weapon lights are designed to provide extreme brightness in tactical situations. And they do this while offering users USB or disposable battery options.
The new lights include the TLR-8 X with red laser and the TLR-8 X G with green laser for full-size and compact-railed handguns. The TLR-8 X sub with red laser and the TLR-8 X G sub with green laser fit select GLOCK, SIG SAUER, Springfield Armory and many 1913 short-railed subcompact handguns. All come with a high-power white LED that delivers 500 lumens over 141 meters.
The TLR-8 X and TLR-8 X sub include a 640-660nm red aiming laser, while the TLR-8 X G and TLR-8 X G sub feature a 510-530nm green aiming laser. All are powered by either one 3-volt CR123A lithium battery or one 850mAh Li-Ion USB-C rechargeable SL-B9 battery pack that charges via a USB-C cord or optional bank charger.
Both types of batteries can be installed or removed through the face cap, eliminating the need to remove the light from the firearm. Three lighting modes include LED Only, LED/Laser Combined and Laser Only. Run times are 1.5 hours in LED Only or LED/Laser mode and 60 hours in Laser Only mode using a CR123A battery.
With the SL-B9 battery, run times are one hour in LED Only or LED/Laser mode and 36 hours on the “Laser Only” setting. These lights feature a one-handed, snap-on and tighten interface that keeps hands away from muzzles when attaching or detaching them.
Strike Industries is well known for aftermarket handgun parts. New is Strike Arms, a brand under Strike Industries, with a complete serial frame called the SAP-C. The SAP-C serialized compact frame comes with all the parts just add a slide to complete the 9mm pistol. It features a 1911-style grip angle, aggressive stippled grip texture, extended beavertail, double undercut trigger guard, raised shelf for thumb support, full Picatinny accessory rail and integrated flared mag well. The SAP-C is compatible with GLOCK Gen3 parts and accessories.
The new GX2 is a budget-priced handgun designed for first-time shooters. This 9mm handgun features a 13-round capacity, striker-fired action with a hinged trigger safety, ergonomic polymer frame and manual thumb safety. The 3.3-inch barrel and 19-ounce weight make it an ideal EDC option. The steel sights are compatible with GLOCK sights and the frame has an accessory rail. Two finishes are available: Matte black and Two-tone with a stainless slide and black frame.

The new Tisas USA 1911 Duty 45 Raider Special Feature is a government size, 1911-style handgun chambered in .45 Auto and decked out in an FDE Cerakote finish. The Raider Special Feature comes with a threaded, stainless-steel barrel, optic cut, Novak front sight, GLOCK dovetail rear sight, G10 grips, extended beavertail and a Picatinny accessory rail. It also comes with two, 8-round stainless-steel magazines with plastic base pads.
New to the 9mm double-stack 1911 Duty and Carry models is a Picatinny accessory rail, an extended slide stop and 1/3 fiber optic front sight that co-witness with most red-dot optics. The compact Carry is equipped with a 4.25-inch barrel, while the full-size Duty has a 5-inch barrel. New to TriStar’s high-value handgun line are the APOC and Protégé X Sub Compact pistols chambered in 9mm. The Protégé X Sub Compact, available in various finishes, is designed for seamless concealment, while the APOC offers innovation and versatility.
The APOC is a GLOCK-inspired, striker-fired pistol with updates, including enhanced ergonomics, front and rear slide serrations, steel fiber-optic sights and textured memory pad forward of the trigger. It includes two interchangeable backstraps, two 15-round GLOCK-pattern magazines, GLOCK Gen 4 GLOCK 19 parts compatibility, recoil-reducing dual-spring recoil assembly and four color options.
The Protégé X Sub Compact is an all-metal, hammer-fired pistol inspired by the classic 1911. Features include a 3.2-inch barrel and 7+1 capacity. It ships with two Kimber Micro 9 pattern magazines, one with a finger rest and one flush fit. Weight is only 16.96 ounces.
The new Division 77 series are limited production runs on highly customized firearms. Project 1 is the first release in the Division 77 series. Chambered in 9mm, the compact-size aluminum X-Frame features frame rails, TRAK texture treatment on the front strap/backstrap, 5-inch barrel, a Concealment Bullet Proof trigger and slide pre-cut for mounting carry optics. The ported slide is paired with an integrated compensator to minimize recoil. It comes in a black Armor-Tuff finish, with copper PVD finish on small parts. It ships with three 18-round magazines.
