Big, powerful handguns can be a lot of fun. Taurus has been building hand cannons, such as the Raging Hunter, for a while. Well, the company has now jumped into big pistol market with a new 10mm semi-auto, the Taurus TH10.
According to Taurus, the TH10 represents a culmination of Taurus’s commitment to innovation, safety and quality craftsmanship. This 10mm powerhouse offers a versatile solution for those seeking a reliable and high-performance handgun.
In addition to the powerful 10mm chambering, the TH10 features a stainless-steel barrel, tailored recoil spring and guide rod, polymer frame and industry-standard dovetail sights. The custom design of the spring and guide rod ensures reliable and consistent operation. It also helps the durability of the gun, despite the powerful 10mm chambering. The sights are drift adjustable and can also be replaced. This allows shooters to easily upgrade to aftermarket sights, including night sights.
This DA/SA semi-auto comes with two, 15-round magazines, providing ample firepower in any situation. It even comes with an accessory rail for attaching lights or lasers, along with an ambidextrous safety/de-cocker lever that lets the shooter safely de-cock the hammer. Additional safety features include a firing pin block and a loaded chamber indicator.
What’s innovative about the lever is that it allows shooters to carry the gun with the hammer back or down. This provides folks with options when carrying the TH10, similar to other TH models in 9mm, .40 S&W and .45 ACP.
While striker-fired pistols seem the rage, there was a time when DA/SA ruled the shooting world. Well, Taurus seems to think the design is still a viable option for shooters.
