My name is Ron Featherson, I’m the owner and CEO of At The Ready Custom Pistol Mounts. We manufacture custom pistol mounts for semi-automatic weapons for mounting in vehicles, in your home, on your bed or under your desk. It can be mounted vertically or horizontally. The primary method of the attachment of the weapon is magnetism, but we also make it so that you could chamber around and pull it out. You can go from neutral to hot in a weapon in less than a second, assure yourself that you can defend against an assailant.
This all started four years ago at the beginning of COVID. I was in a bank and I had a sum of cash on me I was depositing it at the ATM at 4:00 AM in the morning. I saw movement in my left hand mirror on my truck. I went to an alert. I calmly reached down inside my console and I couldn’t put my hand on the weapon that I knoew was in my console, it had slipped underneath some papers. At that point in time my tactical clock was expired and I would have been a victim. Fortunately, that was not an assailant, it was just movement.
I decided I would never feel like that again. I looked online for a solution, bought a solution, put my Glock 21 in it, drove down the road, hit a bump and my weapon fell out of the mount and ended up in the floorboard of the car underneath the brake. I decided that was not a solution for my problem.
I sat down and because I’m an engineer and I do some 3D printing work very amature wise, I have decided I could make a solution. I designed the AT the Ready Custom Pistol Mounts so that the weapon won’t fall out of the mounts, solving that problem. The other main feature of this is that the ejection port on the weapon is exposed. So if you chamber a round and you have a round in the chamber it’ll eject the previous round. If you have this covered, the round that you tried to eject, will 45 or will turn your weapon into an expensive paperweight.
We provide these to the public so they can transport their weapon safely. You don’t have to have a round in the chamber, it lessens the chance of a negligent discharge that way. If you’re in a car accident and you have your weapon mounted on the dashboard, the airbags are going to blow the weapon down against the floor.
