In 1975, a legend was born. Today, 50 years later, the CZ 75 remains one of the most respected and enduring handguns in the world — a true icon in the world of firearms.
Trusted around the globe by military units, law enforcement, competitors, and collectors alike, the CZ 75 helped define CZ’s legacy and set a standard for performance, reliability, and craftsmanship that few pistols have matched.
What began as an innovative double-action, high-capacity 9mm handgun in Cold War-era Czechoslovakia quickly became a benchmark for excellence. The CZ 75’s all-steel frame, comfortable grip geometry, and slide-in-frame design delivered unmatched shootability and accuracy — features that are still praised by professionals and enthusiasts today.
More than just a standalone success, the CZ 75 served as the foundation for some of our most renowned models, including:
Each of these models owes its roots to the timeless architecture and engineering of the original CZ 75.
To celebrate this incredible milestone, we’re proud to introduce a limited-edition 50th Anniversary CZ 75 series, the CZ 75 COMPACT, CZ75 P-01, and the CZ75 B, a collector-grade tribute to five decades of excellence.
These exclusive models feature:

At 5″ tall with a barrel length of just under 4″, the Compact model shaves a little more than 3/4″ off the length and about 1/2″ off the height of the full-size CZ 75. Its reduced size allows it to readily disappear under regular clothing. The CZ 75 DA/SA action with a manual safety lever provides the user with two options for carry: hammer-back with the safety on for single action operation or manually decocked for a double action first shot with no need to remember to take off the safety before firing. Because the 75 Compact retains the steel frame of the original 75, only 2.4 oz of weight is lost, making it the softest-shooting compact in the CZ 75 line.

The CZ P-01 is a compact, aluminum-framed 9mm designed for LE and Military duty, but its compact size and the reduced weight due to its forged alloy frame make it ideal for discrete carry as well. Equipped with a decocker, the P-01 provides convenience for those who prefer hammer-down carry. With a heavy first-round trigger pull, any additional shots are a light, crisp single action.
The P-01 was the first CZ model to benefit from updated manufacturing technology at CZ’s Uhersky Brod factory. Since the time of its introduction (designed in 2001, NATO-approved in 2003) the production upgrades have been rolled out to the rest of the CZ 75 family and several new rifle models as well.
These upgrades mean the components of the P-01/P-06 are completely interchangeable with every other P-01/P-06, with no individual fitting needed. This required some very careful re-design so that the reliability and accuracy were not impaired.
With an integral accessory rail on its dust cover, the P-01 easily accepts any of the industry-standard lights and lasers to assist with low-light use.

Designed in 1975, and with over one million produced the entire family of CZ pistols is available based on the basic CZ 75 design: compacts, decockers, single action only, ambidextrous, alloy frames as well as competition pistols.
The 75 B features a steel frame, a black polycoat finish, and 3 dot sights. The trademark CZ ergonomics and DA/SA action have made it the most copied handgun design second only to the 1911. The ‘B’ designation is an indicator that the model is equipped with a firing pin block safety.
CZ 75 B is used by more governments, militaries, police and security agencies than any other pistol in the world. The CZ 75 is quite possibly the perfect pistol.
After half a century, the CZ 75 is not a relic of the past — it’s a standard-bearer for what a combat pistol can be. It continues to earn its place in holsters, on podiums, and in collections around the world. And now, with the release of the 50th Anniversary edition, it proves once again that true legends never fade — they evolve.
