Nick gives us an overview of two new product launches from Desert Tech that were introduced at SHOT Show 2025: Desert-Tech Quattro-15 Rifle and Quattro-15 Pistol, a 100% ambidextrous pistol and rifle.
The Quattro-15 pistol is the latest in the lineup of Quattro-15 products. Last year, they introduced the Quattro-15 stripped lower receiver which comes with the proprietary QMAG-53. This mag is a quad-stack magazine that holds 53 rounds, which is 80% more capacity than a standard low-capacity 30-round magazine. It has the same form factor, so it’s about the same height and same width as 2 magazines side by side. This will go in any plate carrier, and you can carry it just like you would two standard-round magazines. The QMAG-53 is married up to the Quattro-15 lower receiver, which goes on the Quattro-15 pistol. This is an 11-1/2 inch setup with an SBA 3 pistol brace.

The Quattro-15 Duty Rifle is a 16-inch-barrel rifle that stands out because of its QMAG-53 Quad-Stack Magazines. These magazines hold 80% more rounds than standard 30-round magazines. This lets gun enthusiasts carry 210 rounds with only four magazines. This cuts reload times by 50% and lowers load weight by 8%.
The QMAG-53 is both compact and durable, fitting seamlessly into standard pouches and performing reliably under intense conditions. Its simple design allows for steady feeding, even with long match-grade ammo. Its strong build ensures it lasts without spring fatigue over time.

Featuring the Radian Raptor LT charging handle and ambidextrous Radian safety. There is a proprietary bolt catch and mag release for the Quattro-15 pistol and the rifle. Those are the only two proprietary parts to the lower receiver, everything else is standard. You can use any upper receiver with the Quattro-15 lower. If you don’t want a pistol, just start with the lower.
If you’re wondering if the Quattro-15 can accept standard capacity magazines, the answer is yes. All Quattro-15 rifles, pistols, and lowers come with a tool-free adapter. This adapter snaps into the receiver magwell. It lets you use standard 30-round magazines.
