Nate with B&T USA gives us an overview on the new B&T SPC223 features and specs.
The B&T SPC223 is a short stroke gas piston gun with an adjustable gas block, a 12.1 inch barrel, and QD cups built into the handguard. B&T USA’s new assaulter muzzle device is neutrally timed in terms of recoil mitigation so if you’re left-handed shooter you’ll definitely appreciate that.
On the front of the SPC223 there is a normal B&T lower for the 223 platform, so you have the ability to hot swap your lowers just like you would with any other B&T firearm.
There is a T-style charging handle instead of the standard charging handle you find up front on the APC model. That’s a big change for the US commercial market. According to Nate, many people say they really like the AR-style charging handle.
It still retains the hydraulic buffer system but now in a six position receiver extension, so you’re able to use your favorite but stock. B&T USA is also introducing a brand new pistol grip, that according to Nate, is remarkably comfortable despite the way it might look to some people. It’s more of a vertical angle as you can see compared to some of the other pistol grips B&T has had in the past.
The B&T SPC223 is a fantastic option and will also come in at a lower price point than the APC 223 as mirrored by the SPC line and the SPC 9.
