Hi, I’m Mike Humphries with Springfield Armory and I want to talk to you about the features of Springfield Hellcat Pro. But first, the Hellcat, which we launched in 2019, is a micro size 9mm. It has an 11th round flush fit magazine in a short 3-inch barrel. Basically, you have a highly concealable easy-to-use easy to shoot gun.
Building on the success of the Hellcat, We decided to launch the Hellcat Pro. It takes everything that was great about the Hellcat and adds just a little bit more while still retaining what made the Hellcat so great. And I have one right here in front of me, we have a Desert FDE version right here. So, if you look at it, you’ll see it looks a little different than the Hellcat. The core elements are the same, but what we did is instead of a 3-inch barrel, we pushed out the barrel length to 3.7 inches, we also linked in the grip to hold a 15-round flush fit magazine, comes with the 15th and an extended 17-round magazine. So basically, what you’re getting is you’re getting a very slim 1-inch-thick gun that’s very easy to conceal just like the Hellcat but it’s also a bit easier to shoot and holds a few more. The way I look at it is it’s a 3.7-inch barrel 9-millimeter with 15-round flush fit magazine. That is getting into near duty gun performance of a 9mm. In addition, you have the the pic rail on the front just like the Hellcat, so you can put your light or laser, Whatever you want on there.
Also, like the Hellcat. It’s an OSP pistol meaning an Optical Sight Pistol, which means that the slide is cut for accepting a shield RMSC or SMSC Optic direct mounted to the slide. In fact, I have one here that I can show you. So basically, you have a low mounted micro-sized optic on it. That Co-Witnesses with the pistols’ U-Notch sights which are made up of a white U-shaped notch in the rear and a TRITIUM luminescent front sight that’s for high visibility in light and dark. So basically, the Hellcat Pro takes everything. Like I said, it was great about the 9mm Hellcat bumps up the size just a little bit but makes it still conceivable enough to carry.
A great all-around gun, but if you want to learn more about it, be sure to check it out at Springfield-Armory.com. To pick one up for yourself be sure to go to GunBroker.com and find one for yourself.
