I’m Nick Lorenzi from Beretta USA. Today, we are finally introducing the new Beretta 92GTS. GTS stands for Type G Twin Sear, which is a new technology that we are introducing with this family. Lets talk about some of the features of Beretta 92GTS handgun. It’s a frame mounted Type-G decocker that allows the shooter to safely decock the hammer to half-cocked position. It decocks to a half-cock and maintains all of the standard features on the Beretta 92XI.

With this system we have a Twin Sear System. You probably can’t see it in here, but we have two separate sears that allow that to happen all while maintaining parts compatibility with the standard XI model. Another one of the features that we included was a slightly oversized right-side lever for ease of decock. So, this system is a decock upwards. So you can maintain your kind of gas pedal grip here with your thumb riding on the safety. All while no worries of decocking. So, when you want to decock it is an upward motion. On the Twin Sear System, You have your half-cocked sear that is independently sprung. So that’s on the shooters right and that sear catches independently all the time with its own spring. There is no concern of falling to the firing pin. However, we still maintain our firing pin block, not visible on this model because of the red dot here. Then we have our single action sear that allows for the decock, so when we’re at single action this lever here lifts. Allowing to decock to half-cock. We maintained DLC coated parts. So, hammer and single actions sears, both DLC coated to give you a light crisp trigger pull.

The Beretta GTS will be released in a Launch Edition Version, which is the one that I’m handling, and in a Standard Version which comes with all black components. The Launch Edition features Hogue wood grips. And of course, all the GTS family would come with the slide optic ready, front fiber optic sight and full serrated rear sight. The Launch Edition will also feature a silver frame and a silver barrel.
