Phil Strader with Sig Sauer giving GunBroker.com the highlights and history of their original concept gun the P226. Sig Sauer calls this line of guns the classic lineup, it is an extremely popular pistol and chosen by the Navy seals. The original 226X FIVE, an exclusive, built in Germany, pistol was incredibly accurate, expensive, and incredibly hard to get in the United States. Sig Sauer is now making that exact same gun, with improvements, in the United States.
The Sig Sauer P226X FIVE is built for accuracy with a 5” bull barrel and optic ready right out-of-the-box. The P226X FIVE comes with an adjustable rear sight, and is a single action only gun. The lighter trigger gives you better, more accurate shooting. Sig Sauer has also redesigned the grips, the Hogue G10X series feel great and look great with the X logo built right in, it comes standard with the magwell included and it can be removed, this is a custom works gun. Also available is a classic model that looks like the original 226X FIVE with wood grips. The improved P226X FIVE has a thumb rest and tactical takedown lever that works well for two handed, right-handed shooters making the P226X FIVE a very comfortable gun to shoot.
