New for 2025 from Luth-AR: Globe Charging Handle, Luth Barrel Works 10-22 Bull Barrel and Retro M16 Handguards

Randy gives us an overview on some of the new products Luth-AR launched during SHOT Show 2025: globe charging handle, Luth Barrel Works 10-22 bull barrel and retro handguards.

New Globe Charging Handle

The first item launched is called the globe charging handle. Rather than a flat charging handle they put a one-inch aluminum ball onto the charging handle to make it easier to grab and easier to operate. if you’re slung up, its snag proof. Soon, they will do an ambidextrous version as well. But it looks cool, and it works.

New Luth Barrel Works 10-22 Bull Barrel

Last summer, Luth-AR acquired a machine shop in Minnesota that makes barrels. They have been making barrels for Luth-AR for the past several years. They also made many barrels at DPMS Panther Arms from the mid 90s until DPMS was sold in 2007/2008.

So, Luth-AR is back in the barrel making business. They are manufacturing the barrels in-house and they are doing multiple calibers. At SHOT Show 2025 Luth-AR launched the Ruger 10/22 barrel which happens to be a bull barrel. They will be making it in all different shapes, stainless steel, Chrome Molly, and different lengths. They will continue to make the AR15 barrels. Additionally, they will be making 9mm PCC barrels, 300 blackout, and some other calibers like the 338 ARC which is becoming real popular with the Hornady round.

Retro M16 Handguards

The AR15 retro market over the past several years has become extremely popular. Over the last several years Luth-AR has invested in forging dyes for the M16, slick side upper receivers, the M16A1, the A2, and of course the C7. To go with the retro version you need the original handguard. Luth-AR tooled up with their injection molding friends in Minnesota and their stamping friends, who are now making the actual M16 triangular hand guards with the correct retro original liners inside with the rivets, not with snap pins.
