The Springfield 1911 EMP is a heavy chunky piece, small for concealed carry, and has a nice safety. This version we are reviewing is in the .40 caliber, but they also make the Springfield 1911 EMP in 9mm and .45 caliber. 1911 handguns are a great form factor in general. They are very accurate and the single stack makes a nice slim gun.
This model that we are reviewing comes with the Italian MecGar magazines which are reliable and very functional. The Springfield 1911 EMP also features an ambidextrous safety, single action. Available from Springfield Armory, the EMP (Enhanced Micro Pistol) strikes the perfect balance and delivers a 1911 pistol that’s just right.
